About cityhelper

cityhelper lists the free public places a city runs for everyone, starting with Toronto. It is built from City of Toronto lists and open data; maps © OpenStreetMap contributors. It is an independent site, not affiliated with the City of Toronto.

Every place comes from a source named on the Sources page, with the date we last checked it. We re-check every source monthly. A detail is shown only where the source has it, and we never show live open or closed status.

cityhelper.net was the same owner's earlier site, from about 2018 to 2025. It was relaunched in 2026 as this guide to free public places.
